Applications for MEST Africa’s 12-month training program, Class of 2023, are now open.
They invite all young African technology entrepreneurs to apply for their 12-month technology and entrepreneurship training program. Now that the full session for the Class of 2022 has concluded, we are excited to get back into the swing of recruiting and officially open applications for the Class of 2023.
Successful applicants will receive a world-class education in software development, business, and communication skills at MEST’s campus in Accra, Ghana. Training will be accompanied by mentorship and networking sessions with leading industry experts and executives from around the world. At the end of the one-year program, all entrepreneurs-in-training will create a startup with a fellow co-founder and receive up to $100,000 in seed funding, business incubation, and lifetime support from MEST Africa. to pitch his idea for business. A global community of experts and founders.
Their goal at MEST is to create wealth and jobs across the continent. Therefore, their recruitment process aims to identify only the most ambitious and ethical people with a strong desire to build a scalable software company in Africa.
Each year, more than 4,000 applications are received from all over the continent. After a long and rigorous recruitment process, only the top 60 most talented applicants are invited to the training program. They have trained over 800 technology entrepreneurs and professionals and invested in over 80 startups. They have produced some of the finest startups that have transformed sectors and expanded across the continent, including meQasa, Complete Farmer, Kudobuzz, and CodeLn.
What can you expect from the program? This training program provides rigorous entrepreneurial training and extensive hands-on project work, introducing EIT’s industry-proven methodology for developing world-class technology businesses. It’s designed to be learned. Industry Experts: Faculty have years of entrepreneurial and industry experience. Hands-on Project: EIT builds, validates, and proposes business ideas in a fail-safe environment. Full support: All her EITs receive a full scholarship to attend one year of training.
