Startup-generated AI technology leads the transformation of English learning
SpeakX, a pioneering platform revolutionizing English learning through Generative AI technology, has been selected for the prestigious Google Startups Accelerator. This exciting initiative recently launched by Google aims to support Android app startups in India. SpeakX joins a group of 20 innovative startups that will receive three months of customized guidance and support and work closely with Android and Google Play teams to enhance product development and growth strategies.
Founded by Arpit Mittal, SpeakX has experienced impressive growth, reaching over 10,000 monthly paying members and generating $500,000 in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in less than eight months. “Technology has the potential to truly transform education, especially for marginalized groups.Currently, only 8% of people in India speak English fluently. At SpeakX, it means we are missing out on important opportunities for growth,” Mittal said.
The Google for Startups Accelerator provides startups with access to Google’s AI technology and resources to help them leverage AI effectively while improving their application’s technology and user base. This program marks a significant evolution of Appscale Academy, providing deeper support and guidance for app-based startups.
As a participant, SpeakX will benefit from Google’s technical expertise and cloud credits, further strengthening its mission to provide users with a personalized and engaging English learning experience. With 50% of its user base coming from second- and third-tier cities, SpeakX is dedicated to making English education accessible to diverse audiences, including those from middle-income households.
The program began with an intensive boot camp at Google’s Bengaluru office, focused on providing startups with the tools they need to scale their apps effectively. SpeakX aims to expand its innovative approach to global markets including Latin America, Indonesia, UAE, and Europe.
