Queens, NY – September 2024 – The YOUTHpreneur Summit, held at York University in Queens on Saturday, September 21, brought together over 150 local teens to learn, network, and be inspired by entrepreneurship. I had a great day. Developed in partnership with City Councilmember Dr. Nantasha Williams and hosted by Resorts World New York City and Unibail-Rodamco Westfield (URW), the summit encouraged young innovators to explore different career paths and It provided a dynamic platform for developing literacy skills and marketing one’s skills. Pitch your own business idea for a chance to win prizes.
The following topics were covered at the summit:
Breakout sessions/workshops on branding, financial literacy, and business development led by experts. A panel of industry experts shared valuable insights on their respective fields. A pitch competition where ambitious entrepreneurs present their innovative business ideas. A total of eight winners were announced and awarded up to $10,000 in venture support.
