Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), part of Qatar Foundation, Qatar’s main hub and international destination for technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, will be joining the upcoming Web Summit Qatar 2024 as a Diamond Event Partner announced that they would be participating.
The event, which will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from February 26 to 29, is expected to attract more than 12,000 entrepreneurs, investors and technology enthusiasts from around the world.
As the conference’s Diamond Event Partner, QSTP will host a dedicated pavilion at the event showcasing the comprehensive AZ value chain of acceleration, incubation, funding and investment programs for technology startups.
The QSTP Pavilion provides an opportunity to learn about QSTP’s important role in fostering Qatar’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem by fostering the development of innovative products and services by aspiring technology entrepreneurs. offer to visitors. QSTP-supported startups such as Bonocle, Viavii, Classtap and Skystruct will be showcasing their pioneering technology-based solutions at the pavilion.
On February 27th, the Pavilion will host the popular Demo Day of Cycle 14 of QSTP’s flagship program, XLR8, from 4pm to 6pm.
Demo Day is the culmination of a 10-week training and mentorship program that enables aspiring technology innovators to transform their ideas into validated minimum viable products. At Demo Day, XLR8 attendees pitch their innovative ideas to a live audience to attract potential investors and launch their startups.
Additionally, QSTP will host a Startup Island where several other startups that are part of its ecosystem, such as Kanari.AI, Kamkalima, and Gamyra, will showcase their innovative products and services to summit attendees.
QSTP-backed startups EMMA Systems, VFarms, Wqtah and Armony have been selected as among four Qatari startups to compete in the inaugural Web Summit Qatar PITCH competition. After the group stage of the competition concludes on February 27th, the eight group round winners will compete in the semi-finals on February 28th. The judges will select the top three finalists who will compete for the title of champion on February 29th.
