Eight New Jersey public high schools ranked in the nation’s top 100, according to the recently released U.S. News & World Report rankings for the 2024-2025 school year.
Approximately 17,660 schools measure college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, and underserved student achievement based on state assessment performance and student readiness for college. The universities were ranked based on six factors: the breadth of their curriculum and graduation rates.
According to the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment requires high school students to be assessed in math, English, language arts, and science.
The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data for approximately 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia, including 426 high schools in New Jersey.
