October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM). Understanding the importance of cybersecurity and implementing cyber-safe practices can help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, theft, and damage. IT Services and its dedicated staff are committed to ensuring your campus has the knowledge and resources to stay safe online.
There are several opportunities planned throughout October to learn more about cybersecurity and how to protect yourself online: The IT Security Office will be hosting a table at the Arkansas Union offering helpful information and giveaways, as well as live and virtual presentations from speakers from the U of A, KnowBe4 and CISA.
“Cybersecurity is a fundamental part of our commitment to protecting the academic and personal integrity of our students, faculty and staff,” said Chief Information Security Officer Steven Ticer. “In today’s digital age, going the extra mile to safeguard your information is essential to maintaining the privacy and security of your data.”
For cybersecurity tips and information about upcoming events, keep an eye on Arkansas News, the University Calendar and UARK Services’ Instagram and Facebook accounts.
