Musashi Precision Industries, the parent company of Musashi India, has announced a strategic partnership with Log9 Materials, a leading battery technology company.
The partnership aims to revolutionize the electric vehicle (EV) market by combining Musashi’s high-performance e-Axle system with Log9’s battery technology to create an integrated powertrain solution specifically for electric two- and three-wheelers, while also addressing key challenges in EV energy management, scalability and service reliability, improving overall performance and durability.
By seamlessly integrating the battery pack with the e-Axle, the partnership aims to reduce energy losses common in traditional powertrains, extend the vehicle’s range and improve performance in a variety of driving conditions, especially in densely populated urban areas.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with Musashi as we work together towards our shared vision of advancing high-end engineering solutions for electric vehicles (EVs),” said Pankaj Sharma, co-founder, Log9 Materials. “By combining Musashi’s manufacturing and energy-efficient motion conversion expertise with Log9’s cutting-edge battery technology, we aim to deliver the most efficient powertrain solutions to the market. Both companies are deeply committed to the shared goal of decarbonizing the world through innovative technology, and this collaboration reinforces our aligned business philosophy and future ambitions.”
Commenting on the partnership, Musashi President and Group CEO Hiroshi Otsuka said, “This partnership marks an important milestone in our vision to redefine electric mobility. By partnering with Log9, we are committed to providing comprehensive, high-performance solutions for electric two- and three-wheelers. Our goal is to deliver an integrated system that addresses key market gaps, increases energy efficiency, optimizes synergies between battery and drivetrain systems, and sets new industry standards for sustainability and innovation.”
A key aspect of this partnership is the centralized service model for the integrated battery and e-Axle system, which will reduce repair downtime and speed up service turnaround, resulting in increased customer satisfaction. By setting a new benchmark in powertrain development, Musashi and Log9 will ensure that electric mobility becomes more efficient and accessible to a wider range of consumers, particularly in regions such as India and Southeast Asia, where two- and three-wheelers are essential for transportation and last-mile delivery.
