Kaspersky Lab, a leading global cybersecurity company, and Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Bengaluru, a premier private engineering educational institute in India, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly promote and advance education and training in the field of cybersecurity.
Kaspersky Lab and MIT, Bengaluru recently signed an agreement aimed at laying a strong foundation in cybersecurity for the next generation of talent from the university. The MoU was signed by Adrian Heer, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Kaspersky Lab and Dr. Giridhar P. Kini, Registrar, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
Through this MoU, the two organizations will work together to create an educational environment that will lead to the development of a wide range of cybersecurity-related skills among university students, and to produce highly skilled and employable cybersecurity professionals for the industry.
Kaspersky Lab will collaborate with MIT-MAHE to create an effective system for attracting young talent to train and develop the next generation of security professionals through knowledge exchange, expertise sharing and development of cybersecurity course modules. This initiative is expected to expand and strengthen the talent pool for India’s growing cybersecurity industry.
