My New York dining experiences revolve around places offering happy hour deals, so fine dining is not my specialty.
But I was intrigued by Ben Hugh, a Manhattan restaurant that opened in October and bills itself as a 90-minute communal dinner party with an unpretentious $109 tasting menu.
When I learned that the dining room would be surrounded on all four sides by screens displaying content where AI would convert text into photos and videos, I wondered if it would be unpretentious. It sounded pretty high-tech to me.
