The new HP Print AI experience, launched today in an “exclusive” beta, includes a Perfect Output feature that cleans up printed web pages. HP says the feature automatically detects unwanted content like ads and odd formatting, so you can print only the “text and images you want.”

It’s also expected to optimize the printing of spreadsheets by fitting charts and tables onto a single page without splitting them. But that’s not all: HP says you can use Print AI’s “conversational prompts” to turn photos into greeting cards by adding custom styles and fonts. HP says it can also automatically enlarge images and remove unwanted objects.
HP says it plans to roll out new Print AI features throughout 2025. It hasn’t yet said which printers they’ll be available on or whether customers will need to install software separate from HP Smart printing software to take advantage of the features.
Either way, if the device had some sort of chat interface, at least you’d be able to vent your anger to something that might provide answers, rather than just yelling when your DeskJet stops printing for the fourth time that day.
