Your network is your net worth

In May of this year, I began investing in startups to provide further portfolio diversification as well as support early-stage businesses that are innovating and disrupting industries that align with my passion and expertise. .

As a UK-based individual investor myself, I have relied on equity crowdfunding platforms such as Crowdcube and Seedrs for investment opportunities as I have limited options compared to VCs when it comes to sourcing deals. .

However, one of my startup investments was through LinkedIn, which turned out to be a great platform for finding startup investment opportunities.

Why is LinkedIn so great for sourcing investment opportunities?

There are many benefits to using LinkedIn beyond showing off your recent promotion or promoting a social cause you believe in.

Not only is this a great tool for finding job opportunities and learning employable skills, but it can also help you connect with founders looking to invest in their business.

To do this, follow trusted angel investment groups and VCs who post content about startups and investing.
