Entries are now open for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ competition. Entrepreneurs can apply between September 26 and December 30, 2024. The application form can be accessed at www.eoy.az.
The lead sponsor of the program in Azerbaijan is ABB, with other sponsors also supporting it.
Eligibility Criteria:
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year™ is open to companies based in Azerbaijan. Applicants must own at least 20% of their company’s shares. Applicants must be primarily responsible for their company’s recent performance. They must have at least one fiscal year turnover in the range of AZN 300,000 to AZN 30 million (applies to the past two-year period). Applicant’s company must have been in operation for at least two years by January 2025. Applicant’s taxes must be traceable for the past two years. Applicants can produce financial reports for the past two years.
Nominees will be evaluated based on their success creating long-term value through key metrics including entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to purpose and demonstrated growth and measurable impact.
A judging panel will select finalists and winners in various categories, including a national winner with the opportunity to represent Azerbaijan at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year® awards. The national winner will be announced at a gala ceremony in early 2025, and the international final will take place in Monaco in June 2025.

With a history spanning nearly 40 years, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year is a unique global program recognizing the entrepreneurial achievements of individuals and companies who demonstrate vision, leadership and success and work to improve the quality of life in their communities, countries and around the world.
Each year’s program in each participating country concludes with the announcement of category and overall winners.
Now in its sixth consecutive year in Azerbaijan, the competition aims to promote entrepreneurship, celebrate the achievements of Azerbaijani businessmen and highlight exemplary role models. Every year, the number of participants in the program has increased noticeably. Over the past five years, 60 entrepreneurs have participated, each of whom has a unique opportunity to expand their business networks, discover new development ideas and become part of an influential entrepreneurial community.
