Sean “Diddy” Combs is being held in the same prison as cryptocurrency entrepreneur Sam Bankman Freed, Us Weekly has confirmed.
NBC News first reported that both Diddy, 54, and Bankman Freed, 32, were being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Us confirmed that Diddy was being transferred to the same section where the founder of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange is serving his sentence.
The section of the prison where Didi and Bankman-Freed are being held has barracks-style housing that can hold 18 to 20 inmates who require special protection. Didi was placed in the Special Housing Unit (SHU) after being transferred back to the Metropolitan Detention Center earlier this month.
Bankman Freed is currently serving a 25-year sentence. In November 2023, he was convicted of seven counts of wire fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering through FTX. According to Damien Williams, US Department of Agriculture, Southern District, Bankman Freed “orchestrated one of the largest financial frauds in history, stealing more than $8 billion of client money.” Earlier this year, Bankman Freed appealed his conviction and prison sentence.

A new woman has filed a new lawsuit alleging that the music mogul raped her while Diddy was in prison. According to court documents obtained by Us on Tuesday, Thalia Graves claims that Diddy and his security chief, Joseph Sherman, raped her in 2001.

Graves claims she woke up restrained and sexually abused by Diddy and Sherman. Diddy has not yet spoken publicly about the lawsuit.
