Wired For Chaos, a heart-breaking documentary based on the life of one of punk rock’s most infamous figures, Harley Flanagan, will be featured at the DOC NYC Documentary Festival in New York City on November 14th. It is scheduled to be released for the first time.

This movie isn’t about punk rock. This is a story of an extraordinary life and survival against incredible odds and extraordinary circumstances. Wired For Chaos touches on child stardom, trauma, child abuse and neglect, violence, depression, and the rise of a young boy into one of the most ferocious personalities in modern music.

Musician Harley Flanagan burst onto the punk music scene in the late 1970s at the age of 11 as the drummer for her aunt’s New York-based band, the Stimulators, and later went on to found the seminal hardcore act Cro-Mags. did. Flanagan explores New York in the 1970s and ’80s with stories from friends and associates such as Flea, Ice-T, Henry Rollins, Michael Imperioli, Bad Brains, Beastie Boys, and members of the Circle Jerks. tells his unimaginable story through gritty footage of the downtown music scene. , anthrax, etc.

The world premiere screening of Wired For Chaos will be held by DOC NYC in New York City on Thursday, November 14th at the Village East Cinema. A limited online screening will be available to fans around the world from November 15th to December 1st. A re-screening will take place on November 21st at the IFC Center in New York.

Harley Flanagan was a child prodigy who raised himself in the very adult world of rock and roll. He was born an “it” girl in the Warhol factory, caught up in the Lower East Side artist subculture of the late ’70s and ’80s, exposed to copious amounts of sex, drugs, and violence (both as a victim and later as a perpetrator).
