Pony AI will open a European R&D center in Luxembourg in September, with the Chinese self-driving startup saying it will focus on exploring and developing cutting-edge areas of self-driving and launching customized solutions for the European market. It was announced today.

This is the latest development since Pony AI signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on autonomous driving with the Luxembourg government in March this year.
Additionally, Pony AI signed a memorandum of understanding with Luxembourg-based mobility company Emile Weber on October 23, under which the two companies will collaborate to accelerate the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles and technology.
