We looked at the latest technology at IFA 2024 in Berlin, Germany, and Newsweek selected 15 standout products to watch in 2024 and beyond.
We’ve seen a wide range of exciting announcements, from new drones like DJI’s Neo Selfie Drone to Ecovacs’ Deebot X8 family of robot vacuums, and a host of AI announcements.
Although IFA is held in Europe, it is a global showcase, and most of these products end up on shelves in the United States.
Some of these products will be available for purchase in the near future, while others will debut in the coming months.
The 15 products selected for the Best of IFA award include headphones, projectors, some pretty impressive phones, and big-name laptops from popular OEMs like Dell and Samsung.
Ecovacs Deebot X8 Family
Ecovacs Deebot X8 Ecovacs Deebot X8 Ecovacs
Ecovacs has announced the new Deebot X8 family of robot vacuums, including the Deebot X8 Pro. The company’s new robot boasts a suction power of up to 12,900 Pa, equivalent to a regular vacuum cleaner.
The new Zero Tangle 2.0 brush prevents debris from getting tangled in the roller and brush. There’s also a second edge brush (TruEdge 2.0) to help you tidy up the corners of your room.
It has an Osmo roller that applies up to 4,000 Pa of downward pressure and 16 nozzles that spray water onto the mop, keeping it nice and clean while it does its job.
Newer models offer AI-powered dirt detection and re-mop when needed. Also included is a new smaller Omni Station. The robot’s operating base cleans the mop with hot water, dries it with warm air, and empties the water tank and trash can as needed.
Pricing for the new family of vacuum cleaners has not yet been determined, but the products should be in stores sometime next year.

Honor Magic V3
Honor Magic V3 Honor Magic V3 Honor
Honor’s new Magic V3 is an ultra-slim foldable phone that will be available in Europe this summer following its launch in China.
This eye-catching device unfortunately won’t be available in the US, which is a shame considering it’s one of the most impressive foldable devices we’ve ever come across.
The most surprising thing about Honor’s device is how thin it is. Many foldable devices, such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6, are quite bulky, but Samsung’s new device measures 12.1 mm folded, and the Magic V3 measures just 9.2 mm folded.
This, combined with features like a 7.92-inch inner screen and 6.43-inch outer screen, triple-camera setup, and large battery, make it an attractive product for smartphone buyers looking to make the switch from traditional devices. .
