The flagship Strix Point APU, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375-inch, has appeared on Geekbench, powering HP’s OmniBook Ultra laptop.
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 ‘Strix’ APU brings the same configurations as the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 except for the NPU performance.
AMD’s Strix Point series based on the Zen 5 architecture was launched about two months ago with several SKUs aimed at the premium mobile segment. Until now, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has been the most common SKU for laptops, featuring a 12-core 24-thread configuration paired with Radeon 890M graphics.
The Ryzen AI 9 365 is also found in some laptops but is not as widely available as the higher-end models. However, recent leaks suggest that AMD is planning to equip upcoming premium laptops with its flagship Strix Point APU, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375. This SKU has been spotted later in the lineup and will have identical specifications to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.

This was recently confirmed by the Geekbench results spotted by leaker @9550pro, which achieved 2864 points in single-core and 15012 points in multi-core tests. This score corresponds to the best result of the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU in the Geekbench 6 test, but it should be noted that it is not the best way to compare the strength of the two processors.

This gives us some idea of where the Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 stands, but as expected, it doesn’t necessarily offer a noticeable performance boost. This is due to the same 12 core/24 thread configuration, same base/boost clocks of 3.3/5.1 GHz, and same L2/L3 cache of 12/24 MB. The TDP and iGPU are also the same as the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The APU has four Zen 5 cores and eight Zen 5c cores, and the dedicated NPU offers 5 TOPS more performance than the HX 370.
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 “Strix” APU is primarily aimed at higher performance in AI workloads, featuring 55 TOPS of NPU performance compared to 50 TOPS on the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. The processor offers 85 TOPS of total throughput, which is the best you can expect from a Strix Point.
As there are no changes to the specifications, it is unlikely that users will see higher performance in gaming or most productivity workloads. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 will be part of a premium laptop range and is expected to launch soon, although the exact date is not yet known.
